Day 120: Base sleep and no water

Yep, those are the starting factors of this weekends revellry. Up till late with friends chewing the fat, and for some c**ting reason the waters off, airlocked or something BAD TIMES.

So a grubby tired drive DOWN to the festival this time, usually you have to wait til after for that fine experience.

Curse you murphys law... curse you indeed. *shakes fist*

Grub-by.

Day 119: Aches and pains.

Stress levels at a bit of a high at the moment, not only more pressure from the day job, just seem to never be getting 5 minutes to relax. All my time seems to be spent infront of a damned PC.

Got an enforced break away from it this weekend, and the chance to catch some good music, so thats a complete win... But I really can't wait for summer and the proper opportunity to unwind.

Any awesome relaxation tips welcome, even my DJings getting tense.

Yah... cool huh.

A wee bit rushed this one, but I am happy with it. Bangers and some 'Intelligent Bangers' pretty much going all the way through. Hey it's effectively summer already, It's already 'girls wearing loads less' weather... which is Banger time in my book.

Day 117: What no data?

This weekend presents my first blogging challenge.

Weirdly somehow it's the first weekend this year where I will be away from the internet for more than 24 hours. That's kinda depressing in a way. And I am not sure if it's the realisation how long I waste on the internet, or just that I haven't been away much this year. I blame full time employment.

Any road, so I have been faced with the challenge of how to feed you your much needed daily bangisms while out on the road. Normally this would be a piece of pizzle. Connect via mobile mangle a one line post or whatever Prey Hesto. However it's not that simple. I have some Mickey Mouse mobile operator that doesn't do data. I have been meaning to change it for yonks, but hey, there are more important things in life than mobile data.

Boys Noize... mega!

Anyway... all is not lost. I am going to a festival (2Many DJs, Boys Noize and more) and I have managed to wangle press access (Despite buying tickets grrr) and it says in the gumph they have wifi on site for the Journos. Good times. Take my PDA down, bosh out some quality multi line posts, happy days.

Hey, I'll even try and up some photos...

Let's see how it pans out though... might not even make it to the press area...

Day 116: Scratch in Ableton Live 8...

The more I see of Live, the more I love it. It just seems to be endless in it's capabilities. That coupled with it's intuitive user interface and amazing built in tools makes it just so much fun, and something that's fun surely leans towards being more creative.

Check out this sweet demo from dubspot where they misuse the new Ping Pong delay settings to achieve this effect. Much like real scratching it's creative misuse, rather than proper use that comes up with something interesting.

Day 115: Cheesy Shit.

Just days after posting about Paul Van Dyk's cheesy iPhone DJ app... the following video turns up, honestly I'm not subscribing to the Paul Van Dyk rss feed or anything.

But there is definitely something ironic about him complaining the Trance these days is really cheesy shit. That's what I was thinking about him back in the 90s. Weird.
