Day 268: Free music Saturday!

Everything these days is "Something" day. Follow Friday, Music Monday etc... well today is "Bang the DJ - Rip Groove Remix Saturday" Catchy huh!?

Recently there was a, wait for it, remix competition run by Skint records (of Fatboy Slim fame). The track was the classic "Rip Groove" by Double 99. You know the one... well if you don't check the video below and it'll all come flooding back to you (if you were alive in the 90s, which I assume you were).

After that is my effort. This was a good learning experience. If not partly because I really struggled. The tune is so defined by it's own sound that deviating from that is really hard, yet you have to! Also I kinda plodded along for ages making a tune that I didn't really like. It got to the point where I had to restart the whole thing from scratch, which was a learning curve in itself.

So... here it is, warts and all. Let me know what you think!!
